Community Manager/Content Editor – Assent Compliance
Job Description:
The Assent Compliance Community Manager / Content Editor will be responsible for the development of the environmental compliance community around the Assent Compliance brand .) This engagement will be done through various forms of media. The Content Editor portion of the position requires that the candidate write, procure and edit all Assent online media which includes: Blog Posts, Webinars, Ebooks, PodCasts, Interviews, Case Studies, White Papers and social media.

In other words, "Write and develop all of our online media and get folks in the environmental compliance community to think we're cool and awesome" .


Tasks:
  • Build a following of the environmental compliance stakeholders at companies worldwide around the Assent Compliance brand
  • Write, develop and procure all online content and media for Assent Compliance
  • Contribute and develop a monthly ebook
  • Contribute and develop a bi weekly pod cast
  • Contribute and develop weekly blog posts
  • Survey global compliance community
  • Call compliance community leaders for participation in media. (Case studies, interviews, QA)
  • Work with Assent Compliance team on engagement strategies with the environmental compliance community
  • Follow up on webinars and events with participants
  • Build and maintain LinkedIn group

Skills/Requirements: (Required)
  • Excellent writing/interpretation skills
  • Able to learn / become well versed in: EU REACH Regulation, RoHS, RoHS2, Conflict Minerals, Environmental Compliance Issues,
  • Excellent interpersonal skills which include: Being able to interview executives on environmental compliance issues. Being able to host live Pod casts.
  • Able to work independently
  • Ability to meet deadlines

Skills/Requirements: (Encouraged)
  • Familiar with Wordpress blog publishing platform
  • Familiar with developing media such as: pod casts, ebooks, blog posts, case studies.
  • Familiar with software development processes
  • Familiar with LinkedIn

Pay/Position
This is a new position being formed at Assent Compliance. Current requirement is for ~20hrs/week and the wage for the position is $17.00 - $20.00hr. The candidate will have the option to telecommute (work from home) on most occasions. Hours are flexible but content deadlines and output requirements are not.

Note: Should the candidate prove successful after a 6mth review period there is the option for full time employment if demand warrants and budget allows.

  • Research EU REACH, RoHS, Conflict Mineral Compliance
  • Write 2 articles (news/factual or opinion)on REACH, RoHS or Conflict Minerals that fits with the Assent Compliance line of business as researched during steps 1-2 (Up to 350 words).

    Note: developing other media such an ebook, pod cast, case study etc independent of guidance from Assent staff is welcome and may add extra points to the applicants score in the competition. This is not mandatory.

The application process should take ~1day. Should the applicant be awarded the position 1 day pay will be awarded for the application process and marked as a training day.


Other:
The candidate will report directly to the COO but work will all internal Assent Compliance Staff.
Start date is estimated to be Feb 01-15th
